Great for Relaxing, lovely. Area around the site well-manicured, friendly wardens and so close for fishing on the reservoir. Local pubs with good food.
Spectacular views of the fells and the Pennine hills. A short stroll to the local village and its inn.
Lovely peaceful site made to feel very welcome by staff and residents they are to be commended for keeping their homes pristine.
A stunning location with panoramic views.
It was the stunning location with panoramic views of the Tyne Valley and
it’s fantastic surroundings that first attracted us to this peaceful and
very well maintained holiday park.
The sales experience was excellent and the whole process very smooth with no
pressure. John Walmsley, Sales Manager was extremely helpful and was happy
to spend time answering all our questions. John showed us around all
available caravan stock and provided sound advice that meant we were fully
informed before making our final purchase decision. Overall we were
delighted with the professional service we received which ensured we bought
the right caravan in the right location.
The site itself is very well looked after, by its own grounds men who take care of everything to the highest standard.
If your looking for a park with peace and quiet, fantastic scenery and a family run park where the managers care then here it is.
I tried a few in the area around Hexham and at last I found what I call the perfect getaway.
Just a mile down the hill is the town of Hexham but the park is just like another world miles away. The people are so friendly, the park has a great play area for the children and lovely walks through its own wood to take a stroll, as its dog friendly too its great just to go for a the walk in the woods but don’t think its going to be lonely as there is always someone walking there dog in the woods so a chat is always on the cards.
There’s the reception, which is looked after by Linda and Graham two great people who look after your needs and if you need help they are always there to give it.
John is in sales always there to show you round the site. Be careful of the buggy ride round the golf cart takes you on your own personal tour of the site.
Safe to say as I have been on the site for the last 7 years and cannot wait to get back up there for my own bit of heaven.
The park is open eleven months of the year which makes it a lot longer than most.
Wildlife we have it all from all the little birds to squirrels and owls, hedgehogs to name a few, and of course as we have our own duck pond (behind a small fence for the little ones safety) we have ducks lots and lots of ducks, which pop round the caravans to see if there may be a little food dropped (my grandchildren love to feed them every morning).
Enjoying holidays in Silverdale and surrounding areas we knew that Scout Cragg Holiday Park was going to be a must for us.
We have purchased 3 homes from Mr. Daly (upgrading each time) over the last 3 years and now have a very nice plot with a good-sized area, off road parking, and good neighbours. The people at Scout Cragg Holiday Park are friendly, there is a park for the kids, and as it is a family operated business nothing is too much trouble. There are some fantastic views, local amenities, and lots to do in the surrounding areas. Just a short walk or drive to Carnforth, and Morecambe is a bus or car drive away. The M6 is close enough but not too close, so travel to the north and south lakes is a fairly easy ride.
Its our first time owning a holiday home and we feel we have picked the perfect place! So peaceful and relaxing, yet near to all the beautiful areas of the Lake District & Morecambe Bay. Everyone is so friendly, looking forward to many happy times here.
Now we have been at Causey Hill for 6 months, it’s not just the park that’s 5 star, but the team are 100% as well, nothing is too much trouble.
We had been looking for a holiday home within easy access of Hexham, as being x pats from this area and having family and friends there, it was important we found a park near by.
We viewed several parks before coming across Causey Hill and there was no comparison, the grounds, the way the holiday homes are sited with lots of space between, just that 5 star feel.
As soon as we walked on to the park we just felt that this is the place we would like our holiday home.
We are dog owners and the most important thing for us is the fact our dog was happy with the park. Causey Hill is suited to anybody with a dog, it has its own 6 acre private owners only woodlands attached to the park, and lots of walks within easy access of Causey Hill.
The park is immaculate in every way, we would recommend Causey Hill to anybody.
